Dont waste your time and money with this crap. Only get photos in the Stories view, no preview text. Click on the photo and you get the story. Weak.

The negative reviews are unfair. If youre looking for a standalone news reader, look elsewhere. But if you want a cool way to see a few stories via a home screen widget, from pretty much any site that has RSS, this is the one. Plus, the best part is you can save articles to Pocket etc. via the Widget. I say well done!

Since the last update. The widget has been more stable and faster loading however it is rendered completely useless because it never refreshes unless you open up the App. Please fix immediately. Its nice having stories appear as soon as you dismiss them but you are never getting new news.

Doesnt refresh in Notification Center. Not using until fixed. Dont buy. False advertisement!

When I purchased Breaking several weeks ago, I had high hopes for the news reader. I was very disappointed as the iPad version really didnt work and the iPhone version left a lot to be desired. This weeks update is the BEST update work I have ever seen to improve any iOS app. Breaking is now a better app than I ever expected. The feeds I now connect to collect flawlessly, read clearly, and the fact that the articles read in Breakings own browser or Readability makes for a great reading experience. Article uploads to Instapaper and Pocket work seamlessly also. I love this app now. GREAT work Breaking team!!!

Paid the $3, even with the horrible reviews to the previous version. Took a chance. Im sorry I did. My main goal was to get RSS news into a notifications widget. I loaded the app, typed in Gizmodo, and it found it. I could see the stories in the app just fine. Added it to my notifications and the text of the articles initially loads (without images) and then disappears, leaving only the "Unable to Load" message. This app is completely useless for what its designed to do. Developer: please update this app and fix the problems so you dont keep wasting our time. I wish you spent more time on dev and testing than on your website and promotional videos. Update: I found that if you change the number of stories to 3 (not 4 or 5) and then remove and re-add the widget you can get it to work without it saying "Unable to load". Even with that change, though, it still comes up blank from time to time and I have to close notifications and re-open it to get something to display. Other bugs: 1) "Show extract of story" doesnt affect the widget. 2) Theres no way to indicate whether or not images show up in the widget (they arent showing for me for Gizmodo). Update 2: I spoke too soon. Even when limiting it to 3 stories, it will still give me "Unable to Load" on my notifications widget. This app is just horrible. Hopefully the developers can resolve this soon, otherwise Im asking for a refund through Apple.

Have the unable to load issue in Notification Center. Also when upgraded to iOS 9 the widget crashes my phone and does a soft restart. Love the concept but needs some work ASAP for being a paid app. Will give 5 star review once issues are fixed.

Add a reload button to the widget, that way we can control when to refresh the stories in the widget. Add a button to preview the whole article in the widget, adds a favorites tab and finally add push and lock screen notifications!
